Cypress Semiconductor Corp. and Spansion, Inc. announced a merger in 2014. Spansion Inc. was an American-based company that designed, developed, and manufactured flash memory, microcontrollers, mixed-signal and analog products, and system-on-chip solutions. The company had more than 3,700 employees in 2014 and is headquartered in Sunnyvale, California. Although Spansion has been acquired, AERI is still able to find and retrieve their parts.
