AERI’s Level 3 testing is a specific set of tests which a group of government and industry experts developed under SAE’s well respected banner. Many contractors are requiring their subcontractors to utilize AS6081 certified distributors only. The U.S. Defense Logistics Agency adopted the prescribed tests the week after AS6081 was published. Our Level 2 testing is sufficient for most manufacturers, but if your company is required to conform to your customer’s requirements for AS6081, AERI can help. The primary difference between Level 2 and Level 3 testing is the sample size (e.g. decapsulation of 3 parts for Level 3, only 1 part for Level 2).
