In 1971 Exar Corporation was created as a subsidiary of the Japanese firm Rohm.
They are a semiconductor manufacturer that was acquired by MaxLinear in 2017. Although Exar Corporation is a subsidiary of MaxLinear, AERI is still able to find and retrieve their parts.
