Ghost Markings on Counterfeit Electronic Components

AERI recently received this lot of MC12015P’s which were obvious counterfeits.  There were parts from the same lot code with completely different fonts and textures of plastic.  After an acetone wipe some of the parts revealed an earlier “ghost” marking.
