AERI: The Leading Independent Electronic

American Electronic Resource was
established in 1993 and incorporated in the state of California
as American Electronic Resource, Inc. in 1996. The founders,
Robert Hammond and Anthony Romano, realized that there was
a need in the market for an independent electronic components
distributor that could source hard-to-find and obsolete electronic
parts from around the world. In 1997 American Electronic Resource opened an office
in Austin, Texas to provide greater accessibility for electronic
parts customers in the East Coast time zones and the European
Market. The office in Texas has helped to establish AERI
as one of the leading distributors of obsolete integrated
circuits, semiconductors, capacitors, transistors, diodes,
connectors, crystals, relays, resistors, and switches for
the East Coast and European markets.
Worldwide Electronic Parts Inventory
During this first expansion American Electronic Resource
partnered with a software company to develop a program
with the ability to manage large inventories of electronic
parts from around the world in one easily searchable database.
The database is constantly updated and expanded to include
new inventory, including hard-to-find and obsolete electronic
parts. As an independent electronic components distributor
the breadth of electronic parts that can currently be sourced
by AERI is unsurpassed in the industry.
In 1998 AERI established the Australian American Electronic
Resource Pty Ltd office in Australia. With the offices
in three different regions AERI now operates 24 hours a
day, serving customers in North America, Europe, and the
Far East. Our staff members in Australia are able to contact
vendors in the Far East during their business hours to
confirm stock, verify part numbers, and aid all of the
American Electronic Resource sales staff in seeking better
pricing or locating electronic components, including obsolete
integrated circuits, semiconductors, and other obsolete
electronic parts.
About the Founders
Robert Hammond received his Bachelor of Science degree
in Business Administration in 1989 from the University
of San Diego in California. Anthony Romano received his
Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration
from San Diego State University in 1991.
