The Leading Independent Electronic Components Distributor   [Parts Catalog]

Over the years American Electronic Resource has developed a worldwide sourcing system for electronic components and obsolete ICs that has become the benchmark for electronic components distributors. In 2002 American Electronic Resource Inc was approved for ISO 9001:2000 Certification by Underwriters Laboratories (UL). Our ISO quality system incorporates all of the relevant standards of ANSI/ESDS20.20-1999 that are applicable to an electronic components distributor.

Our relentless commitment to quality made the ISO audit effortless as many of our systems and procedures already met or exceeded the requirements of ISO certification. As an approved vendor of the United States Department of Defense and its contractors, we have been required to meet standards that far exceed those of commercial electronic components suppliers.

AERI has developed an inspection system that ensures that all electronic components, including obsolete ICs, capacitors, transistors, diodes, resistors, semiconductors, and switches, moved through the company warehouse are inspected with triple redundancy. No stock is accepted at our facility unless the electronic components supplier from which the stock was sent has met or exceeds our requirements to be a qualified vendor.

After vendor qualifications are verified, all incoming stock is physically and visually inspected by a quality control agent in a static free workstation within 2 hours of receipt of shipment. The components are then inspected for any damage incurred in shipping and to confirm that the proper electro-static device (ESD) packaging materials were used for the shipment. Product is then inspected to confirm that it visually meets all the requirements of the customer purchase order and that it meets the original manufacturer’s specifications.

When the electronic components are determined to be compliant with customer purchase order, the parts are then temporarily stored in approved (ESD) packaging and warehoused until scheduled for shipment. On the day the product is scheduled for shipment, the previously inspected stock is re-opened in a static-free workstation and visually inspected by a quality control shipping agent to re-verify that the electronic components are in complete compliance with the customer purchase order. Stock is then prepared for shipment utilizing approved (ESD) packaging materials and in accordance with any packaging requirements specified by the customer.

AERI has a stringent process for rating electronic components suppliers to determine which ones are able to comply with the quality we strive to maintain. Every time a component supplier does not meet the terms of our purchase order, a “vendor incident form” must be completed. All the details of the incident are documented and then forwarded to the purchasing manager for evaluation and possibly a corrective action report from the component supplier. If the purchasing manager determines it is necessary, the vendor’s quality rating will be degraded. The electronic components supplier rating is visible to employees in all American Electronic Resource offices, and any future purchasing decisions will be evaluated based on the rating of the vendor. As the leader among independent electronic components distributors, AERI is committed to providing the best service in the industry.
